Several boxers appeared in the classic film "Requiem for a Heavyweight," with Anthony Quinn. Among them were Muhammad Ali (as Cassius Clay), Willie Pep, Jack Dempsey, Barney Ross and Abe Simon.

One of my favorite boxers, George Chuvalo, appeared in the remake of "The Fly," with Jeff Goldblum.

Vito Antuofermo appeared in "Godfather III."

Academy Award winner Victor McLaglen fought Jack Johnson.

Great picture. Not sure if I've ever seen it. Thanks for sharing.

McLaglan was a very successful and excellent actor. He won the academy award for best actor in "The Informer." But I will always remember him for one of my favorite films, "Gunga Din," and the classic "The Quiet Man," with John Wayne.
