I'm thinking it does over the 1 million mark in PPV buys.

The Mayweather-McGregor fight may affect the PPV buys of Triple G-Canelo being so close in dates to each other so there is a possibility you could be right.

But I wouldn't be surprised also if this fight did extremely well in PPV buys and pulled in a really, really big number. They've been talking about this fight for years now and it built up interest and anticipation.

So I wouldn't be surprised either way.

GGG can only win by KO. Canelo will win by decision should it go the full distance.

Golovkin vs Canelo Sold Out, hell nah, that's impossible!

I would have sworn this fight would sell around the same 6,000 tickets as Ward-Kovalev 2.

Well, they may have lucked out selling tickets at the gate, but I'm extremely confident this fight does no more than 140,000 PPV buys. No way, this fight is in no way a draw.
This fight will do probably somewhere In the neighborhood of 1.2-1.5 million PPV'S IMO.

So I wouldn't be surprised either way if it does what is anticipated or less than what was anticipated or if it did more than what was anticipated.

Well, at least we can thank Canelo for making sure the gate was decent.

No saving the PPV tho, I'm afraid.

No way folks are plunking down a c-note twice in a month and my guess is most casual will by the fight that comes first on the calendar with the biggest freakshow potential.

That means Floyd-Conor, which I predict will do 2M buys comfortably, probably more.

That leaves table scraps for Canelo-Lil g, which will- if they are lucky- come in around 700K buys.

                    Ya heard it here first...
