Archie Moore was a shot fighter when he fought Marciano...back in the day, those guys used to fight real cab drivers, plumbers, etc.; padding their records ridiculously. Boxing was highly unregulated back then. It was nothing like today with the preparation that goes into a fight. The sport didn't really get clean up in terms of professional preparation until the early to mid sixties.


Btw any knowledgeable boxing fan knows Marciano isn't even in the same galaxy as Floyd as a boxer. He's just some folk legend for white Americans who grew up in a very openly racist US. He's considered barely a top 10 HW all time and that's being kind.
