Does this mean they are vacating Breidis's WBC title?

Firstly I don't have a problem how the WBC utilizes 'Diamond' belts however in this instance I do have to protest - typically this honor is granted to the highest world champion in a particular division ; in this case 168 ( Super-middleweight ) has not even crowned a regular WBC world champion -- I'm talking about Anthony Dirrell vs. Callum Smith that is scheduled later this year
...so how the hell does Smith qualify for a belt reserved for elites when he has not even won the WBC world title? does someone in the know have some insight that perhaps Dirrel is joining? but if he is what good is the regular title for? hehehehe! so Dirrel Whoops Smith then lets say Smith wins the tournament making him 'Diamond' WBC champion so you took an L but got a shot at a title regardless? and arguably won a title superior than the first one you lost?
lets keep it real they needed fighters to join this tournament to give it credibility and bend the rules.
But I'm good with the Cruiser-weight tournament : its bracket is of a higher grade than the super-middle weight having current WBO champion Usky and the CURRENT and former WBC cruiserweight champion in ( Mairis Breidis and Marco Huck ). There is a potential that these matches result in a unified WBC-WBO champion at the end.Last edited by 1hourRun; 07-06-2017, 11:49 AM.Comment

The WBC is, by far, the most prestigious and recognized championship.
What ****amamie complaint do you have about their handling of Wilder? They enforced the Povetkin fight, which Povetkin then chose to delay. After Povetkin's delay, he was then caught cheating. The WBC gave him a second chance, and he was caught cheating again.
What is the complaint exactly?Comment

Correction WBC was the most prestigious belt until January 2015. That's right Povetkin popped so wilder is forever excempt from fighting a mandatory or even a number 2 when the number one pops. No complaints, every other champion has to fight a mandatory once a year. Last time I checked it was July 2017 which means wilder should have fought 2 mandatories by now but hasn't fought one or even anyone ranked in the WBC's top 5. BUMSQUAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WBC has ordered the mandatory. what more do you want? wilder has to either fight him or pay him to step aside. it's only been two years because of povetkin's multiple failures. not the WBC's fault.Comment

the silver title is not a world title. it's no different than an international or intercontinental title. an achievement that moves you high in the rankings in an attempt to become mandatory challenger.
diamond belt is not a world title either. it's an honorary trophy that usually doesn't even have a sanctioning fee. just the WBC acknowledging a special occasion.Comment

you guys can't make up your mind. either wilder is horrible for fighting stiverne next or he's horrible for not fighting him next. can't win.

You wilder guys are gone. No it's been 2 and a half years since wilder decisoned Stiverne. Next year when he STILL hasn't fought a number one mandatory you guys will still be pulling the Povetkin card. We get it OK we get it. He never has to face a mandatory because of what Povetkin did. We know, we get it. To bad you don't get it..............
when wilder tried to fight povetkin in early 2016, povetkin refused.
when wilder tried to fight povetkin later in 2016, povetkin cheated.
when another eliminator was ordered, povetkin cheated again.
then wilder is ordered to face stiverne, and everybody complains.
the problem isnt with the WBC. the problem is with a bunch of internet losers who need to get a life.Comment

wilder was the mandatory when he won the title, meaning a mandatory wasnt due until 2016.
