The World Boxing Council (WBC) will honour the World Boxing Super Series by awarding its prestigious WBC Diamond Belt for both the Cruiserweight as well as the Super-Middleweight tournament. As of today, the inaugural season of the revolutionary bracket-style elimination tournament already features five world champions and three former champions as well as three rising contenders, which has led to an outcry of media and fan approval.

WBC has become the laughing stock of the world. At this point they are worse than the fake IBO title. Their handing of wilder alone is proof of that

Sick of the WBC and the WBA with all the ****** belts. The WBO is the Top Rank belt. IBF is king of the orgs.

F#ck a WBC title. F#ck all these abc titles. Whoever wins that 200lb tournament don't need sh^t, they don't need a abc belt, they don't even need that poormans Stanley Cup looking Muhammad Ali trophy, they are The Champion with or without any shiny trinkets.

The WBC is, by far, the most prestigious and recognized championship.

What ****amamie complaint do you have about their handling of Wilder? They enforced the Povetkin fight, which Povetkin then chose to delay. After Povetkin's delay, he was then caught cheating. The WBC gave him a second chance, and he was caught cheating again.

          What is the complaint exactly?

.. How is Stiverne mandatory for the WBC heavyweight title ? would be a question for the WBC which has been asked by a lot of people for one. There are to be fair a lot of dodgy mandatory spots (Hughie Fury .. cough) but that really is a stand out by a mile.

The current top five for the WBC is ...
            1. Bermane Stiverne
            2. Wladimir Klitschko
            3. Luis Ortiz
            4. Kubrat Pulev
            5. Dillian Whyte

Joshua has fought two of those already and I suspect will have fought four of those before we get the Wilder fight, doesn't look great on paper .. Whyte and Ortiz have called him out recently and they seem to be dragging there heels on the Stiverne fight.

After Povetkin failed his drug test and lost his mandatory shot against Wilder, a settlement was reached and Povetkin was to face Stiverne for the interim title, with the winner facing Wilder.

Povetkin failed ANOTHER drug test and that fight was canceled.

Stiverne's promoter argued that since he had agreed to fight Povetkin, he shouldn't have to wait even longer for a title shot. Wasn't his fault Povetkin cheated AGAIN.

Which is how Stiverne ended up as the mandatory.

The courts determined that Wilder was entitled to his entire purse (including winner bonus) for the canceled Povetkin fight, as if he won.

And Don King was threatening to sue the WBC if they didn't treat Stiverne as if he'd won and named him mandatory.

With Wilder having been champion for two years without ever making a mandatory defense due to Povetkin's multiple delays, Stiverne lucked out that he was named mandatory without winning an eliminator.

But the WBC didn't really have much of a choice.

WBC....once a proud sanctioning body has moved on from boxing to the lucrative Belt making field. What is your size? They have a silver belt, a interim belt, a regular belt, a diamond belt....a belt for every occasion!
