That weekend Groupon was selling tix at 40% off.

Nothing against Andre Ward, but Roc Nation has done an absolutely horrid job as his promoter.

This is what I find so incomprehensible about Roc Nation's strategy with Ward

Jay-Z has made hundreds of millions from self promotion but when it comes to Ward, he barely lifts a finger and loses millions in the process.

      It's ****ing weird

Halve that, and you've likely far closer, imo (promoter/Haymon/trainer/taxes/ camp expenses/lawyer/etc likely ends up eating 60% of his take, leaving him with maybe $2m; buy the house, a few cars, the ***elry, etc and, if he were smart, invest whatever's left in a property or two, and he's likely set for the rest of his life).
Martin puts his IBF world heavyweight title on the line for the first time against Briton Joshua (15-0, 15 KOs) at London's O2 Arena on Saturday and is reportedly being paid £6 million [$8.5m].

            link to the article please.

Unless Anthony Joshua fought for pennies, there's no way that Martin got $8.5m, Joshua got a similar payday, and Matchroom Sport didn't lose their entire ass on the bout.

              • GGG should fight Ward dawg. It's not a money fight.
GGG hater: Money May is fighting Gregor because it's a money fight dawg.

Why don't you get yourself a job and stop living off of benefits you bum, If you had a job you could afford to pay and support your fan favourite fighters, but instead you're sponging off neighbours wifi lol!

                    • Where was the promotion AT?

Honestly, there was 0 and I mean zilch promotion for this fight. Who can honestly sit here and say this fight was going to sell? There was nothing, which is sad as these guys were the representatives of the top 3 on the P4P consensus.

All you GGG fans can catch this "peeleft:
