Instead, he finished the fight and had a huge swollen head after the fight, because Pacquiao hit him so hard, but because he had a 15 pound weight advantage in the ring, his mass was able to absorb those shots without getting KO'd.

If Arum is smart, he will not waste another second of Pacquiao's career in the wrong division. They did it for the money but they failed to realize that Pacquiao looks much less spectacular in that division against guys he can't hurt nearly as easily, and when your fighter doesn't look spectacular, he is not going to sell the PPVs he could be selling no matter what division he is in. You are better off with a spectacular boxer at 135 whose name will make WHICHEVER division he fights in into the money division than have an uninspired boxer at 147 just for the sake of fighting in "the money division." Arum has still failed to realize that apparently, and his star boxer's career has paid the price for it for years.

The damage is already done for the last decade. What should have been a decade as spectacular as the first decade of Pacquiao's career was instead somewhat wasted in the wrong division. It could have been truly spectacular if they kept him at 135 where he belongs. But like I said, the past cannot be changed. However, despite splitting training time with senatorial duties and fighting a man much bigger than him, and getting headbutted all night, Pacquiao still showed he has something left.

So long as they don't waste another second with him int he wrong division, Pacquiao's career could have a resurgence. But it has to happen at 135. MOVE PACQUIAO DOWN TO 135 ALREADY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD and make Pacquiao-Linares for the fall, and I think everyone will be shocked by the spectacular performance you will see him put in. Meanwhile let Lomachenko collect the other 135 belts on ESPN, building his name, and Top Rank can have an in-house superfight by the end of next year at 135, Lomachenko vs Pacquiao, possibly even for ALL FOUR BELTS at once assuming Pacquiao can also beat Easter before then and Lomachenko can beat Mikey Garcia. Who wouldn't want to see that? But it's only possible if they stop ruining Pacquiao's career in the wrong division and do what they should have done ages ago and move him down to 135 where his power can actually be effective again against guys his own weight.

It's not Christianity that has been preventing Pacquiao from getting knockouts this whole time. It's boxing in the wrong damn weight division! Move him down to 135 and I guarantee he starts getting KO's again, even at age 38.
It's too late now but I've long wondered how Pac's career could have gone at 140. Now that was the perfect weight, I think. Think how amazing he was against Hatton (admittedly, a perfect style match-up for him).

135 is a little too far, I think. People forget he felt drained at 130 against Marquez 2.

But 140, we could have witnessed a remarkable run. As it is, we got a pretty solid WW run.

And I agree - he ain't KOing people cos he's fighting these huge dudes who are draining/rehydrating. He's hurting all of them but can't put them away.

Are people seeing what we saw like 10 years ago? In regards to Pac and his promoter Bob Arum?

I used to respect Arum as an honest guy in spite of what many said about him. He is a great promoter but I don't think he is honest or trust worthy. He is out to make maximum dollars not matter how he does it. He has made many millions off of Pacquiao but now that Pacquiao's contract with him has expired he has turned on him. I believe the fight was fixed and the only way Pacquiao could win was by KO. I think Arum was in on the fix. I can't prove it of course but I sure think it. Arum now says the fight was either a draw or a close win for Horn. If he said that to a lie detector the machine would explode. Arum is lying big time. He knows damn well Pacquiao should have won that fight by many points. Pac landed twice as many punches as Horn and damn near KOed Horn in round 9 FFS.

That would be a yes in my case. I used to give Arum the benefit of the doubt but now I am convinced you were right ten years ago.

He would have been even better at 140 with more KO wins. I think he would have been damn near unbeatable at 135 because Pacquiao said a few weeks ago he could easily make 135 even at 38. He was a mature fully grown man when he crushed Diaz at 135 and looked great doing it.Who can forget what he did to Hatton. He weighed in at 138 for Hatton. Two pounds below the weight limit of 140 with no drying out or even skipping breakfast.
