In the niche sport of Boxing and MMA if most people are asked to name 1 person from each , these are the 2 names they know.

The Mac/May hype is not even mentioned in my circle.
There's really nothing in it other than seeing it as a circus fight.
If this was Thurman or Garcia for Money May's comeback, I doubt it
won't get the same coverage.
The Mac hype is just an excuse to justify the fight.
Just imagine announcing MoneyMay/Thurman fight.

With all the threads done here by "hardcores" I guarantee you that the hardcore boxing fans talk more about Mayweather vs McGregor than casuals. It's a fallacy that casuals are so into this fight, na, YOU'RE into this fight. Casuals see the date, make plans and forget about it. You really think they sit around talking about it everyday like in boxingscene.com? Nope. The people I know who are going to buy it already forgot about it and will just remember it maybe in the week leading up to it. I talk to people who have already decided to buy this fight and they do not mention it, they just talk about Pac-Horn, NBA free agency, Football and other stuff.
