Level headed, good kid, carries himself well, very mature for his age, compare him to Shakur Stevenson, Shakur reminds me of a little 7 year old lol this guy Haney comes off like a mature adult its weird they are not too far off in age either.

When Shakur told Floyds daughter off like that it was sign of immaturity, Shakur needs to control his mouth he is a future cash cow and endorsement deal maker they dont want someone talking like that to push their products.

Haney I think can become a Superstar, I think he is doing a great job building him own brand and he is starting to show improvement in the ring as far as other stuff like In Ring IQ, better Defense, not just pressing to score quick KO's to impress casuals. Also like how he is working his way up old school, his first 4 Pro fights I think was in Mexico so I like that approach!

I don't expect him to step up competition for another couple more years though despite already having 16 Fights already, He is still only 18 years old so he still might be another 2-3 years away realistically! Shouldn't be rushed!

He's fighting guys that can fight.Young guys.

          I like that.

The guy he's fighting in the vid knew his way around the ring, and has all the punches.

It won't be as long as 2-3 more years from what I'm seeing.....more like 1 or 2.

His level of awareness is literally insane.

          That's what makes him special.

Your sig makes me laugh Kovalev done exactly what David Price does. Stopped on his feet.

More to the point Haney had a legitimate professional fight In America under the age of 18. For that to be sanctioned surely you have to be special?.

He's a baby. Hasn't even developed his man strength yet. The fact that he started this early is a great thing for him. By the time he reaches the world stage he will have been a pro for 4 years and be only 21 with like 30 fights or some ****.

Uhhh, no. The guy he fought was a 135 lber that came up to fight Haney and was around 136~ pounds at the weigh in. Regardless, these guys are all not even good enough to call a gatekeeper.

Haney is still only 18, so I give him credit and the possibility that he develops in a fantastic top level fighter, but I don't see it happening short of 2-3 more years (probably 3) as well. I see guys like Indongo, Lipinets, and Troyanovsky would eat him alive, and they aren't exactly top level in my eyes either (yet anyways).

Not surprised to see you hating.

He'll have a better career than all three put together.

                  He'll be a force in 2 years.

He's only 18 and hasn't really developed true power yet so I wouldn't worry about him being taken the distance.

I think by next year he should step up a bit and face a good undefeated youngster like himself.

I think he should've stayed at the amateurs a couple of years more, I think he should've fought internationally as an amateur first and then turned pro at 18 19, I don't see the benefit of him turning pro so early and padding his record against guys that won't help him at all as soon as he steps up.

Fighting the best in the amateurs helps u find out a lot of stuff about yourself especially mentally and it exposes u to different styles, also the short high intensity fights help u accelerate ur thought process in the ring and develop good smart quick reactions, u will definitely need that later as a pro, not saying he should've had a long career as an amateur just saying a couple of tournaments abroad against adults would've helped him a lot later. I know he's been sparring a lot of good pros but competition and sparring are completely different, fighting under pressure and getting used to that from a young age is extremely important in boxing.
