I don't think Hurd is going to do very well against Trout

The guys Trout's been losing to are more than just random undefeated guys doe. Trout's more powered up then people realize I think with his poor activity. He's only lost to Canelo, Lara & a Charlo brother. Two of those guys are P4P discussed guys & one might be a P4P discussed guy soon if he keeps winning like he's been winning.
Is Hurd a potential P4P type guy? Has Trout just fallen off with his inactivity? Sh^t idk, but I'm not all that confident in either of those situations being the story.Comment

It's really just a style thing in this one for me. I also thought Jo jo Dan, also a southpaw, showed some openings in Hurd's defense....Hurd has that very distinctive lean in his style- I really like it tbh....it's just that I think he puts his headd in the area where a smarter southpaw will be shooting his shots.
Dan was stepping all the way in to land those punches though, and Hurd excels on the inside so he paid the price....Trout is pretty good at maintaining a certain distance and staying out of that action...hard to generate a lot of power though when he doesn't want to commit all the way. So I don't think he will win, but I can definitely see Trout taking some rounds and being in the fight at various timesComment

Trout hasn't beaten anyone relevant since Cotto and that was back in 2012... Plus he's been out of the ring for 14 months and is coming off a loss.
Hurd is the weakest of the champions at 154, so this is his best chance, but he's much fresher than Trout and should be able to pummel him.Comment
