Unless Trout is rusty from inactivity I think he's going to whoop up on Hurd.

Trout has nothing to whip with.

No, Hurd should whoop Trout clearer than Charlo did.

Hurd seems special to me for some reason. That Froch type of grit & he's got no problems mixing it up on the inside. His last fight showed me he's a warrior. Trout pulls his punches somewhat. I can see Hurd just young maning him.

Yea I don't hate Trout's chances here, but I do question how motivated he is these days & its hard to ignore the fact he's beaten no one anyone cares about since 2012. But I'm also not sold on Hurd or how good he is. So its a bit more of a toss up to me then a lean towards Trout. I think this will be a competitive contest that either guy could win.

Hurd didn't look spectacular against Superbad but come on man, he came up the hard way. He's beaten like 4 undefeated fighters, I've got no doubt he beats Trout.

I'll go with you on this one. See how you do prediction wise. Like Charlo did, Hurd reminds me of a middle shrinking down to super welter.

Winner of this hopefully fights the winner of Lubin-Jermell.

I didn't realize just how slick "Superbad" was until I watched him outbox Hurd for the majority of the fight. Hurd never stopped pressuring him and seems to have a lot of self belief. I would favor the version of Trout that beat Cotto but now I think Hurd is starting to really find himself and will be too much. Hurd by MD or a late stoppage. Peace.
