Comments Thread For: Billy Joe Saunders Drops Adam Booth, Hires Dominic Ingle

WBO world middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders (24-0, 12 KOs) has once again hired a new trainer. The undefeated boxing has parted ways with trainer Adam Booth, and has now joined forces with Dominic Ingle in Sheffield. Last year, the 27-year-old Saunders left longtime trainer Jimmy Tibbs to join forces with Booth. It was an unexpected pairing, because Saunders had defeated Andy Lee - who is trained by Booth - to capture the WBO title in December 2015.

Good move by Saunders. Dominic Ingle will definitely make sure he gets in shape. Ingle has done good work with Kell getting him into shape.

"we’ve got the same team behind him who whip Kell into shape"

Hardly a ringing endorsement but whatever. Dominic is not as good as his father but he is atleast a proper boxing coach. Not many of those left. If BJS is applies himself, with the quality of sparring andh istory they have in Sheffield he should get better...

I hope he actually fights Lemieux or Jacobs. They are his best challengers along with Jermall.

I sense that a lot of fighters can't cope with the intensity of Adam Booth!

Kell was in the best shape possible against Spence. He gassed because he took too much out of himself making 147. His team told him it was time to move up from WW after the Golovkin fight, and he really should have listened to them.

If this move works out it will take BJS to another level. His cute boxing style is perfect for Dominic Ingle to work with, and the gym rat life style Dominic is talking about there, with diet and S&C work monitored by experts who know what they're doing, is exactly what Saunders needs.

Whats that supposed to mean? He got beaten by a better fighter and theres no shame in that. Brook is always in shape.

By definition you can't move away from a distraction that travels you fat idiot.
