Eddie Hearn filed an exemption with the IBF before Pulev and his team were able to file for a purse bid. This enabled the IBF to allow a rematch to happen with Joshua and Klitschko. It's stipulated that if the rematch doesn't occur that the IBF champion must face Pulev. Also if the rematch does happen, the winner must face Pulev.

Now I agree, Pulev ain't ****. And I'm not excited about a Joshua vs Pulev fight.

I just was explaining the situation. If the Klitschko rematch occurs or doesn't occur, unfortunately it's Pulev who is next.

yeah right.. every boxer boxes twice a year..
The guy who lost accepted his defeat, so why would I deny that..
Say what you will numbnut, it doesn't change the fact that AJ needed 6months to recover from the beating he got..
And good luck spinning the he's not confident story..

This rematch will never happen Klit is shook from the first fight and he knows Joshua will not use same tactics as before. I presume by September he will announce retirement, there is just no point in taking fight you cant win as this stage is his career.

LOL you do know Vlad only fought twice for many years of his career? LOL was he also taking time recovering from the beat downs he took??

And how are they meant to fight sooner.. Vlad still hasn't made his mind up you tool. Are they supposed to announce a rematch before Vlad even agrees to one?.

Whats up with Cardiff, why is that a bad place to fight? Seems like anywhere in the UK is bringing the biggest pile of money to all parties.
After thinking this over, it hit me; Eddie Hearn is a ****ing smart a*s promoter. Coming off of Mayweather v. McGregor then Canelo v. GGG, there will be some real momentum for boxing. If he gets Joshua v. Klitschko in November, I could see them pulling in at least 500k buys in the US market and still selling 1 million in the UK. The live gate in the US would be comparable to what they did at Wembley due to the difference in ticket prices (uk tickets are really cheap) and all the money from the US PPV sales would be extra cash. When you factor in sponsorships, TV rights, etc., the fighters could actually walk away with more money this time around.

And this would set up a mega fight in Vegas in May or June in the US with Wilder that would clear 2 million US buys for sure, and 1 million in the UK.

Obviously I'm speculating but it doesn't seem far fetched.

Great stuff. Another chance to go to Vegas for a big fight. I haven't been since 2012. There's nothing like a load of us brits drinking the place dry. Can't wait.

good theory but only problem is that no one except hardcore sports fans know who Wilder is. He needs to raise his profile in order to maximize revenue from a AJ fight. Lucky for Deontay, he has options. I think he's one, two fight most, away from AJ.

I honestly believe that US fans are obsessed with HWs. The market is just waiting for a name to emerge. Joshua comes here and knocks Klitschko out again his name would be massive. The PR circuit here is on a different level. Wilder's mouth and TMZ (the pr publications) would do the rest.
