I never understood why back around 2010-2013 he didn't leave Top Rank and adopt the Floyd model of promoting himself. He was a big enough name back then to pull it off successfully. I could be wrong but I reckon Arum has dirt on him and that's why he could never leave.Last edited by ConRaffery; 06-27-2017, 08:49 PM.

I will be interested to see what the actual attendance for this will be. There are still thousands of tickets available with prices as low of AUD$35/USD$25. I work in Brisbane and there is not exactly a buzz about the fight. I only know 2 people who are going.

you just gotta watch, listen, and read between the lines.....
I said this just a few days ago, and most Pac fans have never even heard of Goodman or Trampler
so.....
so, THIS fight was not selected by Trampler/Goodman ?
really ?
now, why would Arum come out and say that..... ?????
oh, right..... because Pacquiao's other opponents WERE indeed selected by Trampler/Goodman, mostly Trampler
when it became obvious to Arum/Trampler back in Dec 2009 that Mayweather would never relinquish his testing demands..... it became just as obvious to those guys that Mayweather would have to be Pacquiao's last fight, or very close to it.,.... because the bubble would burst and the manny-cow would run dry
they were more than happy to risk throwing the 1200+ punch swarmer version of Pacquiao in there with Mayweather, the version who fought Clottey instead..... but the normal 500-600 boxer-puncher version of Pacquiao who would have fought Mayweather had he agreed to the testing, had very little chance of beating Mayweather over 12 rounds
#styles
those guys are the best in the business
THAT is why Arum faked a negotiation in order to obtain funding and a date for the Margarito fight after Pac fought Clottey..... then came the "cold war" that Arum conveniently manufactured from that failed "negotiation"..... giving further justification for the delay
for proof..... there is NO reason to refuse random blood tests if a fighter is clean..... ands Pacquiao's ridiculous excuses disappeared overnight..... those 8 excuses were never mentioned once since May/Pac spoke at that knicks game
Arum fk'd everyone over back in 2010, mostly Schaeffer and Greenberg, but he also fk'd over a TON of gullible fans..... and they were PACQUIAO fans LMAO

Arum and Manny both know its safer to fight Horn for lower money and win, than to fight TC Thurman Spence and lose. Arum has done this very same sht all the way with Manny, the moment Manny went to 140 the shenanigans started, and the shenanigans have always been in the match making of Manny.
Nothing new here with Arum and Team Pac.
even smarter ^^
