Since Ward has defeated Kov two times, is Beterbiev the new great hope to beat him

Body shots contributed but the attack wasn't that devastating. By the way, could you ever discuss boxing without sounding like an immature twat?

How do you say Kovalev was winning until he "ran out of gas". Maybe the gas tank was already empty from the get go. Kovalev missed his executions far more than the first fight. Just so you know, that's not a good thing when you miss a lot given one is well known for landing effective offense with a KO resume

I had Kovalev up 4-3. But his stamina is clearly an issue, I agree.

Beterbiev isn't beating Ward. Kovalev was the best bet. Stevenson has a legit puncher's chance but Ward would find a way to neutralize his power. I'm not betting against Ward ever again.

why would you? its clearly rigged for him to win. kessler, bika, rodriguez, kovalev fights. thats enough evidence for me. this guy cant be beaten unless knocked absolutely cold. they will let him do anything and score every fight for him no matter what. thats a safe bet.

As it stands Beterbiev would get stopped by Ward in my opinion. He needs to gradually step up in his next 2-3 fights and then fight a killer. Ward and Stevenson will most likely not be around, so Kovalev in 12 months is what he should work his way up to.

I think the next big thing at 175 is up for grabs currently. And I'm a Beterbiev fan, but his progress has been slowed with his issues over the last 18 or so months & he's still largely an unproven entity at the elite level at 32(?) which is rarely a good thing.

Outside of Beterbiev I'm not really big into anyone else in the division so much, but I'm hopefully we can see Ward fight a bunch of these really solid prospects or if Ward retires or retires soon we can see all these guys at 175 fight each other. I think 175 is one of the deeper divisions in the sport right now & whoever is or isn't the best there it'll be fun to watch what transpires there over the next few years.

                      Smith, Beterbiev and Stevenson

                      Are options for Ward.
