I think it's a mistake for Manny to go in there thinking he needs to look spectacular against this guy. You can't turn back Father Time and look like the old Manny. That ain't happening. And he ain't getting no Floyd fight so Freddie, please shut the f**k up, dude. You know how desperate y'all sound continually bringing up Floyd's name? Jeezus. The rest of the fights -- those will be there. As long as you handle business that is. Just go in there and box the guy. The only way to give Horn a chance is to go out there desperately trying to bring back the past and trying to force looking spectacular or trying to force a fast knockout. Taking ****** chances trying to force the KO is exactly what Horn and his team wants you to do, because that opens up a window for Horn to land that one big shot.

Box him. That's it. If & when an opportunity presents itself for a possible stoppage -- then by all means. But otherwise just box his ass because you're levels above this guy.

Now yeah, if he goes life & death with this dude, even in victory, then obviously it's time to turn off the lights once and for all and say goodnight to what has been a phenomenal career. But, and I know I'm in the small minority here, but no I don't think Manny has to knock Horn out to keep moving forward. A one sided W on the cards will still keep all the same post-Horn options right in front of him and squarely on the table.

I don't care what happens so long as it does well enough that Bob feels he can get Manny the money he wants to make either a Crawford/Manny fight or a Spence/manny fight next.

Hell even if Manny was to just squeak by Horn I think the Crawford fight would still be a possibility. Arum, at some point will finally be ready to cash out, and in the process, give Crawford the unofficial Top Rank passing of the torch fight.

I can't see a fight with Spence happening. Obviously Arum wants to keep it in house and would want Crawford to get that opportunity. The question is, would Manny agree to it? Especially if he struggles with Horn? If he struggles with Horn and goes life & death with dude then I could see Freddie imploring him to hang it up.

Benefit of doing Spence first is money and it gives Crawford and TR matchmakers a chance to see what Spence really has, which would help them prepare for him because eventually they are going to go at it.

Yes if Manny struggles with a slow Horn or gets hurt by him in a close victory it is time to retire anything short of a dominant victory is dissapointing
