He's gonna be the B-side in all his fights. He has a sht p romotor.

I bet he has to go to Canada to fight Adonis. He's too old to take tune-ups. I would like to see Kov. Fire his whole team.

He should fight in NYC. West Coast isn't for Russians...He won't get much of a fair shot. NYC is his best shot in the US.
I'd like to think Kov cleared that much, but with training expenses and taxes, I'd bet he didn't. You are right, something was very wrong with the promo on these fights.

I'm curious to see what a post Ward Kov looks like. Adonis is the only big payday left at LHW for him. I doubt Kov would want to jump in with beiterbiev at this point.

They knew long ago Ward wasn't much of a ticket seller. Never has been, never will be because most so-called boxing fans don't enjoy the sweet science, they only enjoy spectacle like Floyd vs Mcgregor.

I see what you are saying, but Ward's "0" will build interest as time goes on. Ward's "0" is legit too! He needs to go after adonis next, or really make a splash and try to get a belt at HW.

If he takes out Adonis, then IMO Ward deserves to take a fake retirement to lay low for a while, and then maybe fight GGG, or the next guy who takes over LHW maybe. Or maybe even Canelo, if he beats GGG, and Oscar lets him fight another real challenge.

I see what ur saying, I think Ward will prolly campaign @ 175 for the rest of his career. Hopefully Stevenson would like to come out to play.

But if I were Ward, I'd make Stevenson fight Kov or Beterbiev first since he seems to be trying to pull a Lucian Bute move: waiting for the smoke to clear, then simply fight the one guy who comes out on top. If I were Ward, since I had to do it the hard way, I'd make Stevenson earn some mettle before I fought him.

Instead we're talking about quick stoppages and borderline low blows (most of which looked quite legal to me.)
This is almost certainly the truth. I've been following the Krusher since before he was the Krusher but I'm 95% certain he was gone. It fell the way it fell though, I can only assume Weeks didn't see the final low blow - and normally that might not have mattered, but what was really needed here was a decisive and controversy free ending. Oh well. It is what it is.

ward has zero legitimate wins over kovalev and hes going to cry about it and be on the defense for the rest of his miserable droopy faced life. next time fight fair and you will avoid the criticism that kills you inside. cheating and corruption is just your game. the kessle fight, the bika fight, the rodriguez fight, the kovalev fights. and after every fight...there are the fanboys making up excuses why ward had to cheat nonstop.

ward fans will pretend forever that those low blows were legal(or borderline as they put it) even though they hit him in the letters which is below the belt line but they just do not care. their guy won so it simply does not matter. also weeks himself said punches like that were low in the 2nd round but then he changed his mind in rounds 7 and 8 so we know the deal. some will pass it off as "missing it" but thats what he was there to do. in important times in the fight hes there to "miss things" just like the judges "missed" the entire round 10 in the first fight. boxing is not on the up and up and when people win because of it like ward they will be called out. some will defend the corrupt system because they like certain boring fighters that benefit from it

Looking back I think Ward made a mistake by not fighting Lucian Bute himself. Instead he let Carl Froch step in and get all the limelight from wiping Bute out.

He shouldn't repeat this error with Adonis Stevenson. Better for Andre to be the one to beat him and unify all the belts than for someone else to step in and steal that shine.
