Chavez was calling out canelo for this fight not the other way around. You call out a fighter who has never fought above 155 while you are fighting at 170 what the phuk weight you think the fight will be at? Canelo can only go up so many lbs he's only 5'8 and just made 154 his last fight. Chavez is 6'1 and didn't want to fight guys his own size so was calling out little guys like Canelo. You haters make me laugh Canelo sacrificed more weight to make the fight happen then Chavez did. Canelo called him a quitter long before they fought and was proven right. Even his own trainer (Nacho) said Canelo's speed was the issue not the weight and that Chavez was scared to get countered so didn't fight.

the biggest reason that canelo is boxings biggest draw is not his skill level nor his demeanour outside the ring, it is because he is mexican and he was born that way so he shouldn't get credit for it, yet he walks around like he earned that.
If Linares were Mexican he'd also be helping out GBP with even more revenues. You can't fault Mexicans for being knee deep in the sport. Are Mexicans even known for being at Middleweight or Super Middleweight? Surfing Ramirez and Alvarez are the hopefuls that Angulo couldn't be and newer generations much better than the "bigger" Margarito. It's obvious you don't like Mexicans or else you wouldn't be rude like that excluding he fact that they are prominent in the sport. He's the youngest of 7 brothers who all boxed, two were professional. You act like Alvarez didn't eat and breathe boxing like Floyd before him. Differences is that Floyd's family are more respected and recognized.

Canelo won so easily but if there is one criticism then it is that he couldn't knock Chavez jr down once. Perhaps he had mercy on his fellow mexican or was playing it safe. Chavez jr was a zombie there and one persistent attack would have made the ref stop the fight, but alas, it was a bad sparring session.

I got nothing against Mexicans . I have no idea how you can deduce from my post that I do

I was merely pointing out the fact that canelo drains his opponents then brags about the win because he's the biggest star in the sport because he is Mexican ...because Mexican Americans are the biggest ppv purchasers. Your nationality and race is something you are born with so you shouldn't be praised or criticised for it...so in fact I'm the opposite of racist.

Your angle is like those who are opposed to affirmative action. What Drain are you referring to? Angulo been rocking Super Middleweight after the Nelo bout. That wasn't even a title shot either so who cares. Lemieux has been rocking 168 bouts between his 160 weights as well. Would you say Lemieux drains himself for 160? The answer is yes.. therefore that can easily be said for Angulo.

What's next? Lara? Are we gonna say Lara drained himself from 160 to fight Alvarez? Again, another non title bout.

Kirkland. Is Kirkland known as a 160 fighter? Is he as stocky and popular for as long as little Stevens been a Middleweight? So is Kirkland a drained fighter? Again another non title bout.

Cotto? Did Cotto Drain from 160?

Smith? Both fought for a 154 strap and both were draining at it considering Smith is already ranked at 160...

Chavez Jr.? That catchweight was justified as a bonafide Middle for both.

So what's this premise about Alvarez enforcing drainage on opponents?!

Mr. Lowblows, what in the hell does your post have to do with boxing or with the Alvarez/Chavez fight? If your post is what is supposed to pass for clever or is a demonstration of your keen wit, it missed the mark. You are obviously a ****** of some kind. I suggest that you contact a mental health professional for help. Stop embarrassing yourself. Ignorance is not a virtue and ******ity is not a badge of honor
