But Higgins and Lonergan have to go through the splitting of shared assets, and one is likely to buy the other out of their ownership share of DUCO. Who knows if the TR deal still stands if Higgins has to create his own promotional company.

Nonetheless, you're right, Parker got hosed in this whole situations, but at least it's (probably) going to end up with the fight actually going ahead. Then we can get on with real fights.

    thoroughly agree

and I have a feeling Bob Arum made that deal with Lonergan

    not 100% sure

Hope Parker's team has VADA testing in the contract otherwise Hughie is doping again. Hughie and his father will probably train in Netherlands or Southern France where UKAD isn't testing!

        Bend over Hughie.

The doc is just going to inject this in your ass.

It will make your punches stronger, and don't worry the acne will clear up soon.

Embassing really, clear that Hughie never wanted anything thing to do with Nz.and as challenger for the title should have been made to travel or forfeit his ridiculous no.1 ranking.
Who ever wins will get a decent defense payday especially if that's Fury but will have no place there with the big boys.
It's a real shame that after beating Wlad , Tyson went the way he did.We would be talking real fights not garbage like this.

He didn't duck anybody. Go look at the rankings. In December Fury was the WBO #5 for owning that regional belt & Miller was #6. Tyson Fury was the champion. Parker #1, Klitschko #2, Ruiz #3, Haye #4 with Price #7 & Hammer #13. Come January 2017 Tyson Fury vacated the WBO title. It was suppose to be Parker/Klitschko fighting for the vacant WBO belt but Klitschko passed to fight Joshua & Parker fought the next in line which was Ruiz at #3. That moved Haye to the mandatory spot for the winner. They had 120 days to defend against him. Haye was #1, Fury #2, Miller #3 Ruiz #4, Price #5 & Hammer #6. Price & Hammer fought in a WBO eliminator & Haye passed on the mandatory shot to fight Bellew. So by default Hughie Fury being next in the rankings got the #1 position so he didn't have to fight anyone because the WBO needed a mandatory. You also have to remember the 2 next fighters Ruiz & Miller both had management issues. Ruiz was still able to fight Parker but he was in the middle of a split with his manager while Miller hasn't fought in almost a year since trying to break his promotional contract. He is still tied up in that legal battle. Hughie Fury didn't duck anybody. He was just gift wrapped the position because all the ranked guys ahead of him or just behind him either passed or couldn't fight because of legal issues with their team. Pulev would of been next but he wouldn't give that IBF #1 spot up to fight Hughie in an eliminator. Ugonoh lost to Breazeale taking him out of the rankings & the next guys after that were Schwarz, Rudenko, Fedosov. If the WBO was willing to wait for a Hammer/Fury eliminator to determine the mandatory spot then it would have held up Parker & we would probably have got another soft WBO title fight anyway like the Cojanu fight.

The WBO does whatever Warren and Arum say

I will remain skeptical of this fight going ahead until they're actually standing in the ring though. And even then, I can imagine Peter running into the ring and calling a halt to the fight, while Hughie goes down clutching his vagina.

Hopefully, the fight goes ahead, so Parker can swat him aside and get on with real fights.
Fury and his team are the biggest scumbags. What's even more ridiculous is how open they were in sabotaging the NZ fight almost openly admitted it! So can anyone get a sick note from the doctor for a dodgy back last minute and then renegotiate after losing the purse? That doesn't seem like a loophole in the system at all.... Hope Hughie gets bashed in front of his goofy relatives and home crowd.

Spot on. But still looking forward to what this is, an interesting fight. Fury is awkward and skilled and Parker might have plenty of trouble solving what could be a real problem for him.

And on top WBO president Valacarcel is Warren`s best buddy - I guess Parker needs a knockout win......

JP better go for the knockout.

Judges and reff will be set up to favor the roider.

Anyway better to see fluffy fury get sparked out live in HD infront of his home crowd than at a crappy stream at 10.am
