How many here actually enjoy watching Ward fight?

I've loved watching him for years because he does a lot of clever, technical stuff, and is gritty as hell. I don't expect everyone to be able to pick up the subtleties in his work, but when people say "I don't understand what you see" or "he's all clinching" they really expose how little they know about the sport.
I don't expect anyone to like him, but at least try to understand the science before dismissing what the man is doing. Otherwise it just makes you look like a casual.Comment

I enjoy watching Ward A LOT, brings a physicality that's almost unseen today, knowing how to maneuver his opponents up close to work in shots, where as others do it solely through other factors. Roberto Duran did a lot of the same stuff but his was more highlight material, it still doesn't take away from the fact that what Ward does is high level stuff. For me personally, it's difficult not to appreciate it.I like watching tactical fights and have enjoyed watching Mayweather in the past, but whenever I watch a Ward fight it baffles me why anyone would want to watch him. Forget about the Kovalev fights and the controversies...all that aside, do you genuinely like watching him? What's the appeal? I'm not hating or trolling, just genuinely interested in what you like about him in the ring. I just don't see it.Comment

Good counter-puncher and smart fighter. Dirty and dull as hell though. I don't enjoy his fights at all, he and Hopkins stink up the place and can make a potentially good fight into something controversial or ugly. Definitely not a fan-friendly fighter, but he appeals to some for reasons that are likely not related to boxing per se.Comment

He's very entertaining, the way he dismantles his opponents is ridiculous. His 1st fight with Kovalev was movie worthy, Rocky-esque, nobody believed in him, coming off the canvas in round 2, Hunter's speech in the corner motivating him etc.Comment
