I do. Such a great, well rounded fighter. He doesn't have the relexes and quickness of Sweet Pea, Floyd and Roy but he's a very intelligent fighter, understands distance, can be offensive minded while maintaining defensive responsibility, can smoothly transition from defense to offense and can fight at a high level from all ranges: long, mid short.

If I were training a kid to box I would have him study Andre Ward.

I don't see the hype in Ward and don't like watching him fight personally. I acknowledge his skill, just don't care for his style.

He reminds me of a sloppier version of Gerald McCllelan.

Ward is a skilled crafty fighter who thinks in the ring. He finds a way to win. His fights aren't too exciting but more interesting to watch. His handling of Kovalev prior to the fouls was evidence of his talent.

it was an even fight and these clowns still see Ward putting on a "great, all balls in, Performance" Pun intended.

I hate watching him fight' He is way to grabby. He loves to clinch. He often doesn't even throw a punch until he has grabbed his opponent and then he starts his attack while he is holding. This is holding and hitting which is legal and desirable in MMA but not boxing. It's one thing for two boxers to be attacking each other and get tangled up. That's not what Ward does. He creates clinches when there is no clinch by reaching out and grabbing his opponent every chance he gets. Two other famous boxers who often created clinches just like Ward, were prime Ricky Hatton and the older Shane Mosley. Just like Ward they didn't start throwing punches until they were holding the guy. I hated watching them too. Mayweather doesn't do that. He lands his punches from all ranges without resorting to holding and hitting. I enjoy watching Mayweather fight. Some call Ward's holding and hitting skilled infighting and they enjoy watching him fight. To each his own.

Watching the way Ward handle different styles of fighters is great to see. Ward doesn't hesitate to face anyone and finds a way to beat them. Although I don't think Golovkin is in his level but that's the one thing I appreciate about him. He is also willing to face different styles including other fighters with power.

It's not hype when he's already got the resume to back it up, as well as Olympic gold.

It may have been even to you, Ward was easily breaking him down, and starting to pick him apart...kovalev does not have the right mentality to fight a thinker like Ward. He cracks under pressure.
