if Canelo stands any remote chance of defeating Golovkin, then he is going to have to stand his ground and not run because when you do, GGG hunts you down by cutting off the ring. However, if you stand and trade he typically freezes up and stop throwing punches until his opponents ceases throwing.

Who??? Amir Khan, the guy who I can't even remember his name, an aged out Cotto... At least be honest with yourself... Lemieux is better than most of Canela's opponents and Jacobs definitely is!!!

Hopkins putting his balls on the table with this prediction.

I want Canelo to do well, but it's hard to believe this would happen.

                Are you kidding?

Jacobs moved around and outboxed GGG hardcore, it seems to me movement is the best way to beat Golovkin who looked slow and unable to cut off the ring vs Jacobs.

Granted Jacobs was blown up, but come on if we're saying GGG is an elite boxer he shouldn't have had any problems vs a blown up middleweight who got a vacant belt and beat no names.

I'll agree with you though that Golovkin seems to throw one or two punches at a time and didn't keep up with Jacobs throwing longer combos.

I'd say the blueprint for beating Golovkin is movement, smart boxing to try to nullify the 1 punch power, and using speed to get off first and letting your hands go in exchanges.

                      Very true.

I think this fight depends on whether or not GGG's power is truly out of this world even against elite competition that he hasn't fought before.

Canelo's a pretty big stocky guy, He'll probably be the bigger man in the fight while Golovkin will have a bit of a height and reach advantage. If Canelo can take GGG's punches and actually box him GGG will have issues with the combination punching of Canelo.

However, if GGG really has that power enough to beat Canelo's superior defense and boxing, then Canelo will be in huge trouble because like you said he doesn't have the movement of a pure boxer and GGG will be able to tee off power shots and test Canelo's chin.

So for me it comes down to if GGG has the power to really hurt Canelo, if GGG can't hurt Canelo then GGG's gonna get outboxed.
