I think this fight depends on whether or not GGG's power is truly out of this world even against elite competition that he hasn't fought before.

Canelo's a pretty big stocky guy, He'll probably be the bigger man in the fight while Golovkin will have a bit of a height and reach advantage. If Canelo can take GGG's punches and actually box him GGG will have issues with the combination punching of Canelo.

However, if GGG really has that power enough to beat Canelo's superior defense and boxing, then Canelo will be in huge trouble because like you said he doesn't have the movement of a pure boxer and GGG will be able to tee off power shots and test Canelo's chin.


So for me it comes down to if GGG has the power to really hurt Canelo, if GGG can't hurt Canelo then GGG's gonna get outboxed.

I disagree. I can't see canelo outboxing ggg. GGG is the better boxer from the outside and can out box canelo with his jab like he did to david. GGG outboxes movers with quick feet all the time. He's used to it even back in in the amateurs. Against jacobs he out landed him by over 3-1 just in jabs. When has canelo ever out boxed someone from the outside with a jab? He's the one being outboxed. Canelo's only chance is to slip ggg's jab and get on the inside.

I think if this fight goes the distance the judges will like Canelo's hand speed and combination punching more than GGG's jab, especially if Canelo can block a lot of those jabs on the way in.
