What you said, is what is expected of Floyd. Anything less is not an option for him. He is expected to destroy McGregor, if by any chance McGregor makes it a competitive fight even if he loses. MCGregfor still wins.

This will only help or hurt Mayweather. Boxing has become a fringe sport. This fight will put boxing in the limelight for a few months. It would be more effectively if other boxers like Canelo and Golovkin openly supported the fight and Mayweather in turn supporting the September fight. It's just too much unnecessary division in the sport to flourish like it should be.

        No.

Floyd is the premier ambassador of the sport. If Floyd looks bad, he brings boxing with him. you better pray floyd does good for your sake and everyone who loves boxing.

You honestly think he'll look bad against an MMA fighter with zero pro boxing experience?

            You better hope so.

Knowing Floyd don't want to get clipped and get ktfo by a novice. Floyd will be more cautious in the ring against an inexperienced McGregor of fear of embarrassing himself. I can see Floyd being tentative in the ring. And will be circling, running, pot shotting and hugging around the ring in a boring UD padded score card.

If that scenario happens. Floyd is fuvked and the the boxing world with him. Pray he delivers for your sake and mine.

It only hurts boxing if Conor somehow pulls off the upset and stops Floyd, or makes it competitive in any way.

If Floyd puts McGregor in a coma?!
                You ****ing idiots.
Conor will be a solid 170 on fight night, and took flush shots from a 190 lb Nate Diaz (legit 190) wearing 4oz gloves.
And before you ****** get too triggered, Nate is Andre Ward's sparring partner. Listen to interviews where Ward talks about Nate's boxing skills. Dude is legit.
So you're telling me that a 40 year old Floyd with brittle hands wearing 10oz gloves (why do you think he wanted it at 154), and Floyd is not willing to take the necessary risk to KO someone--especially not if he's already cashed the check.
Don't be ******, you ****ing idiots.
The only person who has a legit chance of getting KO'd is Conor's puncher's chance.

So angry brotha' Cool your Jets.

Are you feeling the pressure for Floyd? You losing trust in his capability?

Sorry bud, last time I checked, McGregor's record is 0 pro fights. That's a novice in anyone's book. Floyd needs to deliver. That check won't matter if he will be fuvkn' humiliated by a novice. Believe me.

In all honesty, if Mayweather gets knocked, wobbled, or even take a flush shot from McGregor I would clown him myself. It still will be all on him. Not boxing. You wrong about the effect it will have on boxing.

Btw, if your scenario is right, as a boxing fan, shouldn't you be supporting Mayweather in this fight?

                    I'll wait...

I am not paying for this circus show. But as I said, I am supporting him to win for boxing sake.

Well I beg to disagree. Floyd represent the pinnacle/ premier of boxing supposedly. IF he fails to impress and fails to Knock down McGregor. It's like saying a boxing elite can't finish a novice fighter. Or a black belter in Karate can't finish a white belter.

Boxing takes a huge nose dive if Floyd looks pathetic, and a huge cloud will be hanging in the boxing world for being 2nd fiddle to MMA. That's what is riding here.

                      # Floyd has damaged boxing in his poor showing infront of millions around the world in the Pacquiao Fight. Another lame performance against a novice will be the end of boxing. Who wins? Floyd wins again for another carefully executed bank heist. While the boxing world takes a big hit and turns boxing into a mediocre sport.
