Canelo has better defense than he's given credit for but not sure I'd describe him as elusive.

Let me remind people that no one ever expected Mares and Leo Santa Cruz to be able to box like they've done.

Wat? Canelo might have slow feet, but his footwork is textbook. I can't recall him taking a bad step ever.

He does have the right idea thats for sure. He will make it harder on GGG if he moves and uses his footwork which is very decent. I think this fight is competitive on many levels - every twist and turn will have both guys landing their best shots. This is the type of fight though that will be close in the betting odds and not worth betting on cause you just dont know due to a guy getting caught, cuts, bad decisions. Anything can happen.

I am rooting for GGG but I think Canelo might win a UD. He has very much improved since the Mayweather fight, especially in terms of head movement - just look at the Cotto fight.

I think that if GGG wants to win this he should primarily go to the body.

                    Easier said than done

Jacobs did a good job but his foot work imo is a lot better than Alvarez

Nelo likes to bully his opponents. He would get mullered if he tried that with ggg

If you try and meet him head on your gonna get dipped

Can Canelo be smart? Yes he can.

Can he be elusive? I'm not so sure. As others have already pointed out he has slow and plodding footwork.
