McGregor must do what made him successful in mma, but just remember only punching allowed of course. His awkward and unorthodox ways might just be what makes him competitive. To box Mayweather in a conventional way won't work. By that I mean he should try to throw Floyd off his game and give him different looks and throw unusual combinations. Of course he has maybe no chance but some would say a puncher's chance.
