Kov fought well however made 2 big mistakes.............

Ward isn't known as a big puncher however he's still a LHW. Kov protected upstairs pretty well but he let Ward tee off to the body. If you let anyone rip to your body with impunity you are going to gas out. That was the first mistake not protecting himself from body shots. The second mistake Kov made was his high work rate in terms of throwing a lot of hard shots. If you have a high work rate you very the speed or you'll gas out which he did. When you combine those two elements together Kov got knocked out as you would expect.

What danger could he have faced in 2 seconds?
Pretty sure its says they need to be in a condition to defend themselves.

The last one was a low blow obviously but is there a rule saying that if your bent over at the time of a low blow you won't get recovery time? Are you allowed to aim at their balls if their hunched over like that?

He needs to worry about Canelo stopping him early.

                good point

but very difficult to defend those body-shots from Ward

and Kovalev's work-rate was high because he was being pressured

That way you avoid controversies and Internet debates

                  RUBBISH !!

that stoppage was " out of the blue ", only if you are blind

"Weeks wasn’t watching the result of a single punch. He was watching the culmination of a series of shots that had Kovalev reeling and then sitting on the ropes, a man who was doubling over in the first place from clean body and head shots accumulated in the seconds prior".

Stop dreaming. Ward hits like a girl. He landed flush on a tired kov and all there was a wobble.
Kov was tired but that wasn't a good reason to stop fight.kov could defend himself just not against constant low blows.
The fight was even. The eighth round was clearly a good ward round. 9 the round would have likely been a good ward round.10th round kov has his second wind and drops ward's.
That's boxing it has ups and downs. Look at wlad V josh

They keep talking about Ward's counter right hand that landed flush as if it was some KO shot, and they keep showing it in ultra slow motion, when in reality all it did to Kovalev in real speed was this:
