I don't know how they can work after the first fight, let alone what happened in between this fight and then the outcome of this fight. People are also forgetting the Chilemba fight too, where Kovalev didn't look that good either.
With that said, people can't blame Kovalev's performances on JDJ. I think it's what Sanchez said, that SK is just hard to work with. I'm guessing JDJ and SK's chemistry will be non existant from now on, it will be awkward for them to keep working together.

Kovalev also needs to fire that conditioning coach he hired, he did a terrible job.

But I mean its absolutely no surprise if its true or it is true by the time Kovalev fights next.
After JDJ comments saying if they'd pay him enough he'd be with Ward right now he's fired by most reasonable to unreasonable mfers 99% of the time. But due to the fight being upcoming you can't fire him cuz its chaos in your camp + you setup the possibility that JDJ legit sells you out before the fight.
That sh^t was a bad look + if it just got Egis digging deeper into the situation its not a deep haystack to find all the needles JDJ has left in various comments before this one. Dude was trashing Kovalev in a video I saw awhile back saying Isiah Thomas owned him in sparring & Kovalev would get completely merked at 200lbs + everything about this setup seems toxic & helpful for the business of Sergey Kovalev.

What trainer would want to work with Kovalev? The pay is *****ty. He doesn't listen. He's bringing in guys to contradict what you're telling him. He talks bad about you to the media. Abel Sanchez runs his mouth to much but he's an easy going guy. If you can't get along with him and he refuses to train you then you are the problem. For what they're paying it isn't worth the hassle

If JDJ can't maintain that level of professionalism then good luck to him at consistently ever getting those quality prime-Freddie & Manny Steward high paying, elite level, free lance jobs or just rising in the game.
And sh^t maybe dude gots his money all setup & just don't give a f#ck about any of this bs, but knows he can train & needs something to do with his time. Idk, but I know you can't be keeping a guy who's shopping his abilities & knowledge to a guy you are about to fight. It don't even matter who talked to who first despite that being the main thing people were talking about.

Doesn't Kovalev train himself anyways? This looks like a win/win for everybody.
Here was Kovalev's fight plan:
Hit him until he is knocked out.
If he doesn't get knocked out, sit on the ropes until the ref stops the fight.
