1) Ward hits him low.
2) Kovalev complains about being hit low. Takes his left hand to the balls and yells.
3) The ref finishes the fight!!!

WHAT THE ****!!!!!

Stop this narrative of.. "you can't just stay there, bend and do nothing"... HE COMPLAINED, the ref SAW IT. The ref was looking at the whole thing!

Forget for a second that you all love Ward. This fight was bought, this is unbelievable. Be rational. You can't stop a fight like that. I don't care if Kovalev was hurt from that right hand, which he was, but you cannot stop the fight like this... this was a terrible gift.

I didn't have a horse in the race so I didn't care who won saying that I couldn't believe the stoppage. All these years I have been following boxing I cannot recall the last time I saw such a stoppage. It was baffling.

It was just a terrible stoppage. I don't know how the ref didn't see the blatant low blow/s at the end.

All you have to do is watch the AJ - Klitschko fight and see how AJ turned the fight around when at one point he too was gassing like Kovalev. We as fans were robbed of a non controversial ending to a great fight between two great fighters.

i have to keep it 100 here...either a standing 8 count should have been applied here, or a point or 2 for the ward lowblow and kovalev should have gotten recover time...we have seen guys catch a break, get the second wind and finish the fight...

That right hand knocked out what was left of his will that's when Kovalev took a shot that bent him over & Ward slipped in against the ropes.

Kova should have taken a knee??
Kova should gave complained on the spot??
Kova should have .... he didn't.

Weeks actually robbed Ward from getting the KO that was inevitable.
