The question is, why wasn't Kovalev better? His inside game still sucks, and his stamina didn't look any better. Honestly, Kovalev didn't look impressive in the Chilemba fight either! If they can't add an inside game to Kovalev's (still impressive) right hand, he's done! Other fighters already have the blueprint!

My guess is he needs to move up to CW, but we'll find out this fall how he's doing. I don't happen to (yet) think he's done.

The ref should have given some kind of indicator to viewers and kovalev he was in danger of being stopped. The stoppage was out of blue. I was expecting point deductions or warnings to ward. If not warning to ward a warning to kovalev for play acting.

From what I've seen, Gassiev will do damage with body shots, so Kov better learn how to defend himself on the inside, especially against bigger men!
