I have a message for you guys, from Boxingscene editor Cliff Rold

    Cliff says.....

    STOP CRYING B1TCHES !!

"Weeks wasn’t watching the result of a single punch. He was watching the culmination of a series of shots that had Kovalev reeling and then sitting on the ropes, a man who was doubling over in the first place from clean body and head shots accumulated in the seconds prior".

The final punch Andre Ward landed was a low blow. To dismiss it entirely is intellectually dishonest; to pretend it didn’t happen a lie. To say emphatically it

Good observation. Yeah, I think he needs to grow as a boxer too.

Yes same ref for the 1st fight, but I didn't see Maidana doing a flagrant like Ward did in there vs Kovalev. And Floydie sure did get a well paid off ref for the 2nd one... Bayless gettin' old, had to have his retirement check and gold watch. LOL

Tony weeks is known for being fat and lazy and always pulling his pants up instead of keeping fights clean.... The difference is when maidana low blowd mayweather tony weeks was praised for letting madiana fight dirty.... Now you ****** fan boys who love sucking kovalevs balls are making excuses because tony weeks did what he always does.....

I disagree with both of you guys

it had little to do with the ref

the main reason why those fights played out differently, is because of the way Floyd fought Maidana

I love Chino, but he is waaaaay over-rated

come on guys..... Floyd cherry-picked Maidana as his look-good "Gatti" at 147

that was supposed to be a showcase fight for Mayweather

the only reason why he could justify selecting Maidana is because of Chino's win over Broner..... a guy who fights nothing like Floyd, and had never fought at welter..... without that over-rated win over Broner, everybody would have ridiculed Floyd for selecting the limited but game Maidana

Maidana had just been schooled by Alexander, how could everybody forget that?

I say again...... Devon fkn Alexander

you guys must have known that Maidana had limitations..... do you really think Floyd failed to notice?

Floyd fought Maidana flat-footed and tried to lite him up like he did Gatti, but Chino bought the business and had much better success than expected

in the rematch Floyd just boxed him.....

            /Maidana

my boy Chino was a cherry-pick gone wrong

I doubt that Maidana could beat many/any of the top welters..... Spence/Thurman/Brook, even Porter

neither Mayweather nor Maidana deserve as much credit as either of them got for that fight

NOTE: the SAME difference between the first Maidana fight and the second Maidana fight..... is the SAME difference in how Floyd fought Mosley from the start of round 1, to how he fought him from the start of round 3.....

flat-footed, then back on his toes..... go check the vid

I am a Floyd fan, but good on Maidana for fighting dirty

he would have been a fool to look back and think....... if only I had (insert excuse here).....

those tactics got him a rematch

a fighter should do EVERYTHING he can, falling short of being DQ'd

there are levels between those guys, Floyd should have known what to expect, and he should have been able to handle it
