Post all these gifs of Wards low blows..lets end the debate

Duran my favorite fighter did a similar thing when he beat Ken Buchanan. Duran head butted snd fouled thoughout the fight. The fight was stopped on a low blow. In that fight Buchanan was way behind which really shouldn't matter. Duran should been deducted points throughout the fight. If he was that last low blow wouldn't have happened. It was another fight where the referee was weak.

Love Duran, one of the best fighters ever. Great comparison.

Yes, Ward was better. That doesn't change the fact that the fight ended because of an Illegal blow.

The fight ended because Kovalev wasn't really defending himself for about a 40 second stretch and went into a submissive position. Not because he got his stomach nuts, punched.

According to many peoples' logic on this forum, if the last blow of the fight was a Ward kick to Kovalev's face instead of a punch to the groin, the stoppage would still be completely justified because Kovalev was apparently done.

Kova was already done and wasn't fighting back. He was in a surrender position before that questionable low blow.


See these two clean body shots. Kova was finished after those clean blows. Kova got a break because Ward stopped attacking. If Ward would had not stopped, Kova would have been finished earlier.

That's exactly right, the punch that the fight was stopped on was a foul blow, what makes me laugh is those posters that keep saying this punch was going up onto the belt line, their eyes tell them one thing while their heart tries to tell their brain not to believe their eyes
