Good for them? Most media scorecards were 4-3 either way. There were a couple of 5-2 cards for Kov, but that was well in the minority. And no one would have scored round 8 for Kov if the round had finished properly.

The stoppage was a bad call, and yes the last shot or so was low. But pretty much every other body shot in the fight I've seen gifs of were fair play.

you didnt see kovalev complaining about it until they were taking his gloves off in the corner.....when he was sitting on the ropes with weeks he didnt say a peep

and ask yourself....ward up a round on 2 cards...bout to get a 10-8 round in the 8th....what was kovalev gonna do? besides either get stopped or be dug a hole his fading self had no chance out of?

I don't think this is anything more than HBO wanting to keep kovalev on their roster. He could move to Showtime and easily make the fight with Stevenson, which financially could be very good for both in canada.

said it the other day, casual fans often analyse fights better than people on here and so called 'experts' because they just call it as they see it, dont overcomplicate things and dont have agendas.

It Is certainly not crazy. The fight was pretty much dead even, allowing for either man to be up on the cards.

That's not what I said or meant. I was responding to the idea that only casuals question the stoppage. Kovalev was in trouble after that right hand. It was a competitive fight up to then. A low blow is a foul
