Except that the fight wasn't ended because of that one single punch. Weeks stopped the fight because Kovalev wasn't fighting back. His words to Bennett..not mine. That's not a one punch decision. Unfortunately saying the fight was ended because of the last punch is the only narrative that keeps the argument going and preserves any doubt as to Ward winning convincingly.

NSAC Exec. and Ref. said that the shots were borderline punches, thus making it legal.Let's be honest, Krusher wanted none of the body punches.He should fight Stevenson next, get the belt and fight Ward in a unification fight.I think Ward has his number. This is boxing where a single shot can change the dynamic of a fight.

actually the ref said the bottom of the belt was low but during the fight must have changed his rules? the nsac is just defending their own and covering up. what did you expect them to say? this is kind of the whole problem. the whole system is setup to favor certain guys. its why ward refuses to travel. hes got it good under this system

Ward has really nowhere to go from here. A third fight with Kova is the only thing left unless he wants to just go back to fighting nobodies on regular HBO...

He's not moving up and Stevenson is hiding on Showtime...

Pretty much this. Ward wants no part of Usyk or any other top cruiserweight. And Stevenson won`t fight ward.

one punch? he hit him with 3 low shots in a row and the ref stopped it. thats pretty bad. add to that the numerous low blows he landed through out the fight and it doesnt look good.

Both fighters were using dirty tactics. Weeks did an excellent job of letting them fight and not intervening which would've made the fight a boring, amateur "tag your it" fight.

The fight was back and forth and pretty even until Ward landed some solid body shots and a vicious right hand to stagger Kovalev and eventually finish him.

It was a great night of boxing, a star studded event and a great back and forth fight. Boxing is a sport with a lot of judgement calls with respect to scoring, point deductions and other factors and people try to abuse these judgement calls to play into their biased views and make a case for their favorite fighter.

except they were low according to the refs own rules. anything on the bottom half of the belt was low and he kept hitting him there or even lower so we have to go by what the ref says is low. unfortunately the ref didnt follow his own rules which is the whole problem. people are tired of seeing ward get away with fouls and then come on here and pretend they werent fouls. how many ward fights have we done this now?
