Everyone knows there were low blows. Just like Kovalevs side admitted he threw rabbit punches. What he did say is they weren't intentional and they didn't look intentional. The issue the low blows aren't what beat Kovalev. He was beaten before the sequence. His body language illustrated that much.

There was just too much clinching from Ward for me to side with him. He ruined the fight with his excessive clinching and that is obviously what led to the rabbit punches.

If you're going to clinch that god damned much you have to accept rabbit punches without being such a puss. Otherwise, don't clinch.

Ward just needed to be warned about his clinching and it could've been a great fight.
