Canelo and Lee couldn't put weight drained Chavez away but you know who could? Fonfara with his 50% KO ratio despite Chavez being FULLY hydrated and healthy.
Likewise, GGG stopped Martin Murray who fought super middleweights like George Groves and Arthur Abraham, but no other boxer except GGG stopped him.

GGG does have a better chin than Sergey Kovalev, when taking into consideration GGG has never been knocked down in his entire boxing career, be it in the amateurs, pros or even sparring.

On the other hand, Sergey Kovalev has been dropped many times before and has been stopped many times before, proving GGG > Sergey Kovalev in the punch resistance department.
You can say the exact same thing about Chavez, never dropped, never stopped. This is an ELITE 160lber we're talking about that got put on his ass by Fonfara.

Golovkin was rocked by Canelo in sparring and got rocked by a no-name in the pros. In the amateurs the ref gave ggg a standing count after repeated unanswered blows by Bute, ggg was frozen, if it had been a pro fight it would've ended right there, fortunately the amateur rules worked in his favor.

In addition, Andre Ward has already fought similar caliber of opposition as GGG which GGG has been consistently knocking out. However, contrary to your claims, Andre Ward still has a lower knockout percentage against such opposition.

Andre Ward couldn't even come close to stopping a journeyman in Alexander Brand, which are the types of opposition GGG has been stopping within the distance CONSISTENTLY and CONVINCINGLY. So no, there isn't any evidence at all that Andre Ward could / would stop those similar / same opposition that GGG has been consistently stopping.
Completely false. By age 25 Ward (before his prime) was fighting the likes of Kessler, Golovkin is 35 and has yet to fight anybody as good. Furthermore ggg's resume is FILLED with junior middles, actual journeymen. Proksa, Ouma, Lemieux, Rosado, Ishida, Rubio etc. even a ****ing 147lber that isn't the best in his division, Brook, soon he's going to fight another JMW lmao.

Brand a journeyman? You do realize his only loss was a closely contested fight with former champion Badou Jack right? Brand would be a top 2 win on ggg's resume. Lemieux was already walked through by Rubio/Alcine at 154, but somehow he's a better fighter than Brand

Watch ggg-Murray and you'll see the size of the ring they fought in, it was tiny and favored ggg's cutting off the ring. Murray still went 11 rounds. Groves and Abraham are past it dude, nobody even gives them credit for taking down Murray. Beating Murray got ggg P4P status, but Abraham-Groves were given no credit for taking down a "P4P" fighter's top 3 win

It would knock lil g head completely off. His head would roll across the ring like this until it landed in Abel Sanchez bucket. Then, lil g would look up at Abel and say, "154-168 my ass!" before finally dying

It doesn't matter. Fact is, GGG stopped an opponent (Martin Murray) who previously or after fighting GGG never came close to getting stopped. The same Martin Murray who had a very close and a controversial loss to Sergio Martinez. Martin Murray has fought above 160 pounds and even opponents from there still failed to stop Martin Murray. I somehow doubt Andre Ward stops Martin Murray either.

The reason why GGG gets as much credit for beating Martin Murray is because he stopped him, which none of those other boxers did.

You can say the exact same thing about Chavez, never dropped, never stopped.
No you can't because Chavez hasn't had over 400 total fights (amateur and pros combined) whilst still never being knocked down.

A boxer who hasn't been knocked down in only 40 bouts isn't the same as someone who hasn't been knocked in over 400 boxing bouts who is also the age of 35. Chavez is also younger than GGG.

Golovkin was rocked by Canelo in sparring and got rocked by a no-name in the pros.
Doesn't matter. Point is, he has never come close to getting dropped.

In the amateurs the ref gave ggg a standing count after repeated unanswered blows by Bute,
That's only because the rules are more strict in the amateurs and greater care is taken to ensure the best health of the boxers.

ggg was frozen, if it had been a pro fight it would've ended right there, fortunately the amateur rules worked in his favor.
That's just pure speculation / opinion from your behalf. I could just as easily state that fight wouldn't have ended had it been in the pros. In other words, your statement holds no extra value / worth than mine. The fact is, he wasn't knocked down so that is the point.

In addition, Lucian Bute has a higher knockout percentage than Andre Ward so even if he did manage to drop GGG, it still doesn't mean Ward would've also been able to.

By age 25 Ward (before his prime) was fighting the likes of Kessler, Golovkin is 35 and has yet to fight anybody as good.
That's because GGG has been avoided in his division more so than Andre Ward.

All of that is besides the point. The point I was trying to make was Andre Ward has also fought similar caliber of opposition as the opposition GGG has been knocking out regularly. However, GGG's KO record against such caliber opposition is still higher than Andre Ward's.

Andre Ward failed to KO the likes of Edison Miranda, Henry Buchanan, Allan Green, Alexander Brand and so forth so on.

On the other hand, GGG has knocked out practically every one of his opponents that are of a similar caliber / level.

In other words, GGG has knocked out pretty much every one of his opponents that are bums / journeymen. Whereas Andre Ward failed to KO many of his bummy / journeymen opposition.

A boxer who knocks out every one of his opponents that are a bum / journeymen is more skilled and has a better record than someone who goes the full 12 rounds against those same / similar opposition.

Furthermore ggg's resume is FILLED with junior middles, actual journeymen.
There's only a few opponents that were naturally below 160 pounds. The vast majority of his opponents were either his own size or larger.

GGG may have fought journeymen, but he has destroyed pretty much all of them unlike Andre Ward.

            Brand a journeyman?
There's NOTHING in Alexander Brand's record that tells me he is any better than Martin Murray.

Hence, Golovkin's performance against Martin Murray was more impressive than Andre Ward's performance against Alexander Brand as GGG stopped Murray whilst Brand lasted the distance against Ward.

Heck, Alexander Brand's record isn't even better than Dominic Wade's. GGG knocked Wade out in just 2 rounds whilst Ward went the distance with Brand.

You do realize his only loss was a closely contested fight with former champion Badou Jack right? Brand would be a top 2 win on ggg's resume. Lemieux was already walked through by Rubio/Alcine at 154, but somehow he's a better fighter than Brand
No, it wouldn't. Dominic Wade is just as good a win as Alexander Brand and Martin Murray is a better win than Brand.

He wouldn't. GGG tucks his chin and never gets hit with these type of shots.

It doesn't matter? Yes it does, the ring they fought in was tiny, Murray is a mover, a bigger ring and he goes a full 12. The guy went 11 rounds with ggg. Martinez was already past it when he fought Murray, his prime was short lived since he was so old.

You don't know ggg's amateur history, you didn't even know about the standing count against Bute. The fact of the matter is that Chavez Jr has NEVER been down in the pros and has taken some of the hardest hitters at 160's punches with 0 problem despite being completely drained. When he fought Fonfara he re-hydrated to 190+ and still got put on his ass.

Chavez at 190+ is as durable as they come.

Doesn't matter. Point is, he has never come close to getting dropped.

ggg still has the same exact flaws he showed in the Bute fight, Bute was stringing together punches while all ggg could do was freeze. The same shyt happened against Brook who busted the man's face up, he froze and got backed up by a welter, even lifted off his damn feet by an uppercut.

That's because GGG has been avoided in his division more so than Andre Ward.
No he's not, he had his chances and ran away from Ward. Ward just finished off Kovalev, ggg is scheduled to fight yet ANOTHER guy below his weight class.

All of that is besides the point. The point I was trying to make was Andre Ward has also fought similar caliber of opposition as the opposition GGG has been knocking out regularly. However, GGG's KO record against such caliber opposition is still higher than Andre Ward's.

                  Miranda, Green, Brand=Jacobs.

Your logic-Jacobs gets BLASTED by Pirog in 5, dropped by feather fisted Mora=Elite fighter.

But Miranda, Green losing to hardcore power punchers, Champions like Kessler, Abraham, Bute=Journeymen

Brand with 1 loss against Champion Badou Jack=Journeyman.

                  Wtf?

In other words, GGG has knocked out pretty much every one of his opponents that are bums / journeymen. Whereas Andre Ward failed to KO many of his bummy / journeymen opposition.

Golovkin in his PRIME was still fighting journeymen and struggling to beat Ouma, Ward was NOT in his prime when he started the Super 6. Before the S6 his KO ratio was around 65%, now if he ducked the S6, stayed fighting journeymen into his 30's like ggg, his KO ratio would be in the 70-80% range.

There's only a few opponents that were naturally below 160 pounds. The vast majority of his opponents were either his own size or larger.

A few? I just listed how many, Ishida, Brook, Canelo, Rubio, Lemieux, Proksa, Rosado, Ouma. That's 8 guys.

8 of the last 17 opponents he has fought were not actual middleweights That's ****ing ridiculous. If Ward did that you sure as hell could bet his KO ratio would be significantly higher.

Heck, Alexander Brand's record isn't even better than Dominic Wade's. GGG knocked Wade out in just 2 rounds whilst Ward went the distance with Brand.

No, it wouldn't. Dominic Wade is just as good a win as Alexander Brand and Martin Murray is a better win than Brand.
Wade was literally on house arrest training in his damn living room for his fight with ggg. The man's competition is a JOKE. Brand has never been stopped, has legit power, and his only loss was to Champion Badou Jack. Ward had him in survival mode flying around the ring. Ward took him not as a legit fight but as a tuneup lmao.

lol at this whole thread talking about how GGG could take that head shot when Kov was stopped by the ref and his iron balls took 3 full power shots in a row.

GGG would do the funky chicken dance from that head shot. Could he take those ball shots? I dont think anyone could take 3 in a row and not kneel over. Iron balls Kov was still standing though.
