GGG wouldn't have flinched he has a much better chin then Krusher .Lemieux his harder than Ward and Golovkin walked through his punches

This is the truth even if GGG haters don't want to believe it. He has never even been close to being knocked down or even staggered in almost 400 amateur fights and 36 pro fights. Canelo will not him down and Ward's best punches would not knock him down either. Besides Ward's best punch is a left hook, not a straight right. That good straight right failed to drop Kovalev and it wouldn't drop GGG.

It had such an effect because kovalev was tired. If golovkin is just as nackered it'd have the same effect, if he's fresh he'd take it like kovalev took those same rights earlier in the fight.

It was a bigger punch than I appreciated at first. He really threw his whole body into it. I know Ward is not a one punch KO kinda guy but Kovalev deserves some props for staying up after a savage shot like that.

What made it worse was that Kov was in the middle of switching from southpaw to orthodox and was in the process of pivoting to the side. Off balance + a thunderous punch.

GGG would have taken it better and recovered though.

Golovkin's chin is unquestionably granite.
