We can argue whether or not those last three shots were low, but seriously, those last three shots had me saying WTF is he doing? Not a good look for boxingComment

Not sure why he's referring to headlocks that Kovalev used during the fight. The debate is whether the stoppage was correct and whether the finishing blow that doubled him up was low. And it was low. It was a rubbish stoppage, not clean, or a knockout. Imagine Ray Leonard stopped Hearns like that. Bad refereeing. It's not hard to understand if someone objectively looks at the last punch right before the referee jumped in to stop the fight. If anyone looks closely at the way the fight was stopped, they would agree.
But being honest, sincere and objective here in this forum is a rarity. Not sure what the purpose of arguing about the stoppage is. Clean stoppage, no but the outcome of the fight should not be questioned. Do you really think Weeks first thought of stopping the fight was after the last body punch, which is the ONLY punch that can be argued as low in that sequence. Kovalev bent over and didn't protect himself after two legal blows. He did look gassed, but come on, you ain't gonna say that was a clean stoppage. There were a couple borderline but the last shot was clearly low.Theres this trend now where people try to tell you that what your literally seeing with your eyes isn't there. All it did I create a controversy that no one needed.Comment
