He's right. He didn't make that call. I don't have a problem with the stoppage either.

Ward is right....It's not his fault. It is another contraversial decision though albeit this time by the ref.
Ward should be pissed as well. Tony Weeks robbed him of a clean and decisive win possibly courtesy of a REAL stoppage.
Although a win, its a win with a ? Attached to it.

Kenny bayless on the other hand didnt let either fighter get away with low blows or rabbit punching in the rematch.... The difference also is that when it happened to mayweather people on this website were praising tony weeks for letting maidana fight dirty with mayweather.... They said mayweather deserved it..... Now it happens to a russian cry baby sore loser hypejob and every one wants to act like they are all for clean boxing lmfaooooo... The hypocrisy of these fan boys is astounding but not surprising!

When you're bent over and not even protecting your face while punches are raining down, the fight is over. If you wanna get technical, if you turn your back, the ref is well within his rights to stop the fight.
How many times did kovalev turn his back?
If Weeks wasn't so merciful, Kovalev would have left on a stretcher
Clearly, Kovalev had little will to fight and energy at that point.
It's more than just the last 3 punches... it's about the last 40 seconds

At 0:50 of the 7th round, Kovalev faked a low blow to take a breather.
At 1:46 of the 8th round, Kovalev faked a low blow to take a breather.
Low blow = lower than the belt
I was rooting for Sergey, but Ward is simply a more complete fighter. No way Kovalev would have recovered!
