How many times did kovalev turn his back?

If Weeks wasn't so merciful, Kovalev would have left on a stretcher
You've got a good point. Taken alone, if you only watched the 20 seconds leading up to the stoppage you would think it was a terrible stoppage. But the ref had a fighter who had turned his back and walked away during the fight multiple times. He had stopped fighting already multiple times in just the last round and a half. Those are signs refs pay attention to, they mean that a guy wants out of the fight.

So Kovalev had basically shown the ref he didn't want to fight anymore several times. And now he's hunched over and not defending himself at all and taking big shots. And this was after he had been nearly decapitated less than a minute earlier by that right.

Personally, I would have liked to see it continue, but that was far from a bad stoppage.

I rememeber when weeks was praised on nsb for allowing maidana to rabbit punch, low blow and muy thai knee Floyd....now all of sudden weeks is this horrible ref for allowing ward to do much less than maidana.

          This is the real deal

The big right to the head came in at 1:14,
Kovalev barely fought back for the following 40 seconds.

Kovalev used illegal tactics to compensate is lack of energy : Faking low blows and walking away/turning his back on the fight.

Kovalev got 2 fights and 20 rounds to prove his superiority and didn't even come close to accomplishing anything similar to an undisputed win.

He was suppose to demolish Ward with his superior Russian power and his superior all White IQ.

Next, I would like to see him lose to a gay black ******. That should help him reevaluate his belief of social and racial hierarchy.

The 3 low blows were under the beltline. One lands square on his cup. Those shots were illegal. I don't know what you were watching. People have created GIF's of the shots in slow-mo, I suggest you watch those.

Man you guys don't give a damn about fighters.. This is the level of importance when it comes to you NSB posters:

                1. Color
                2. Emotional feelings
                3. Logical reasoning

                These are formula's for disaster
Well said. Two boxers already died this week. Why continue a fight when a guy is completely quitting? He was doubling over from normal, legal body shots already as well as turning his back on Andre.

Some people say that without the stoppage there would be no controversy. But I disagree. Because people would still say that he was hurt because of low blows anyway and should be DQ'd, that he was taking PED's, etc...

I think the krusher should take 6 months off, take a tune up fight, then fight Bivol to see if he still has that championship material inside himself.
