Second fight, I thought Kov would win but Ward came in so much sharper.

These guys just need to get away from each other now - not just all the baggage but overall, they shut each other out and won't make for a good fight anymore.

The LHW division is stacked. I mean, did you see Bivol last night? Then you've got Adonis, Gvodzyk, Badou Jack, Smith, Barrera, Alvarez. I'm missing someone else, I am sure. That is one hell of a division.
No I didn't see the Bivol fight. I have to look it up.

Ward vs Stevenson makes sense. All the belts unless I'm missing someone

I can't believe thats The Plan. Fight Pass & WWE Network aren't even the major revenue source for the UFC & WWE. They are their own investors of those projects.

And if they show the fights on ESPN the app is only for people who don't got ESPN. So you're cutting your audience down right there. Although they should be able to get us hardcore fans via showing undercard fights via the app before the live ESPN show.

But mainly my disconnect is at the investor level. Whats the investor in this for & whats TR's ultimate goal? To get a major TV deal with ESPN that surpasses anything we've seen in boxing at the non-premium level or above? To entice some other tv network to pay for their services in the future? To get on some exclusive ******ing network deal with a bank account like HBO? Or are those all in play & they are just taking a shot in the dark at hitting one of them or something along those lines?

Cuz to me this seems to have less upside then PBC from the jump while still enjoying the app concept overall & thinking Bob is more astute at controlling the narrative then Haymon or anyone he's working with with PBC.

Both WWE and UFC have TV deals in addition to their own ******ing service.

Presumably that could be the goal for Top Rank: to have a network TV deal, have their own subscription ******ing service that is an On Demand repository for all their televised fights, worldwide, as well as a place for small live fights and as a way to distribute their own PPV's (along with cable).

If Manny doesn't KO Horn he should call it a day and not harm his legacy any further.

Which if true, is something I called for some years ago. And Top Rank had the lionshare of memorable fights before everyone jumped ship - them and Don King Promotions.

I wonder how that works though because it would seem like any cross-promotional fight would involve syndication royalty payouts like mad. WWE Network doesn't have that problem because they own the material, same as UFC.

I think there's usually a primary promoter...which is often Top Rank.

Have PPV's been mentioned? Cuz you tell me ESPN, a TR ******ing platform/app for the undercards for boxing nerds like us here + PPV for the bigger events & that makes sense.

But then I don't really see the need for an investor if thats the plan, you need a loan. I guess ESPN is the part of this that doesn't all the way make sense to me if an investor is putting forth the money for that. So are they just using ESPN til the app takes off? Or are they looking to actually make a deal with ESPN eventually via proof of concept like PBC had planned that could pay Manny & Crawford money to Manny & Crawford & guys who reached that level in the sport?

NICE! I'm excited about this deal with ESPN Now! I'm assuming that they're paying up to get these fights on their Network! This is GREAT EXPOSURE for Cawford, Loma! Also I'm sure Conlan and Stevenson and other young prospects like that will get featured which would be big for them as well!

I'm talking about PPV's down the line, after this initial ESPN deal is over.

Pacquiao on ESPN may be a one-time thing....he may go back to PPV.

But the next tier of fighters, with Lomachenko, Crawford, Ramirez, Valdez, Magdaleno, those fighters aren't really PPV level yet (except against the right opponent) so they may stay on ESPN until the end of this TV deal.

The Olympians like Conlan and Stevenson I would expect will go back and forth between ESPN and the ******ing service.

The UniMas level fighters like Jose Ramirez and Felix Verdejo may also rotate between ESPN and the ******ing service.

                      We'll see.
