Is Kovalev that type of guy doe? He seems very Ronda Rousey-ish to me. And he probably even goes deeper then she does with her bs cuz I'm not sure he trusts anyone or feels that anyone is realllllllly on his team.

But yea I don't disagree he'd be better off if he acquired an actual team that was down for him. I just think he's on the back end of his career, he's been shown as a victim in his last two fights & this fight he seemed actively trying to get out of the fight.

Kovalev's story is written more or less now. Future opponents see the blueprint to beat Kovalev now. You can't change your stamina very well at this point of your career, you can't change your ability to bend when adversity comes this late in life.

Pacquiao is the all time king of excuses. He has never lost a fight without giving an excuse. Wrong socks, wrong gloves blood was taken out, hair is too long so it looked like he was getting hit, Marquez had pimples Floyd moved too much, torn rotate cuff, undersized so he had rocks in his pockets at the weigh in. The man has excuses for fights he even won!

She will support him emotionally, just not financially.

Even if you dismiss the final seconds of the fight, there were some low blows which Ward got away with so he had every right to complain. Kovalev is a man and makes no excuses. He'll be back. As for Pacquiao, yeah he made excuses but there's no shame in that, like RJJ once said of Hopkins, "He just has that mentality, and ya can't blame him for that". An excuse is when a fighter doesn't show up or ducks.
