I didn't like Ward after the first fight, but I can't take anything from him after this one. He did low blew a few times, but I don't think it was intentional and I don't think it made the difference to the final result (he would win, maybe not by a stoppage). I think his performance was impressive, much better than the 1st fight.

Apart from the actual fight, he gave Sergey props after the fight and was much more likely than after the first fight.

Referee screwed up both fighters IMO. He robbed Ward from a more conclusive finish and Kovalev a chance to recover.

I have no problem with Ward being p2p no 1 at the moment. He deserved it.

I agree w/ pretty much all this^. I respected the fact that the 1st could have gone either way and hated a lot of the posturing Ward did between the two fights.

I agree that Weeks screwed them both, though the outcome was inevitable. Giving Kovalev a few more secs would have actually helped Ward as it would have allowed him to dominate further. Sergey didn't exactly spring back to life after the fight was waved off.

Also agree with the fact that some were low, but none were intentionally such. Ward was aiming for the line that Weeks established before the fight. Sometimes, you stray, especially when the other guy is ducking down.

I gnashed my teeth when Pac shyt the bed against Floyd, When Wlad refused to put up a fight against Fury, but I accepted the fact that they didn't go my way. Posters like ^this set an example for how we can have dramatically different opinions, but still respect each other and make this place worth hanging out in.

yeah ward is great alrite, great at getting everything goin in his favor, all fights at home super six, can get away with headbutts no problem, judges easy check, no problem, gets dropped last fight and gets awarded almost every round after 6 on all cards huh, no way hozay, given those belts on a plate, and now goes neck and neck in this fight and has one good round 8, fight stopped when it should have been a 5 min recovery, so he has the ref too, he should have been warned earlier too, crazy ****
