would GGG fare better than Kovalev vs Ward?

Ward really only became aggressive in the last round (or 2) when Kov showed signs of wilting. Ward kind of perfected the game-plan from the previous bout. I'm not saying he should fight any other way because it suits his particular attributes and skill-set, but that's the reason why I can't watch him against just any opponent. Ward's style is only palatable to me if he's fighting a threat. Passive-aggression is fine when you're fighting someone who can knock your head off. That's why I'd watch Ward/Stevenson.

Is this a joke? Golovkin won't go anywhere near Ward.

There was a big reason why Kovalev was ranked higher P4P than GGG, that reason was he proved himself in the ring by beating better competition than GGG has.
