Lederman had Kovalev ahead but it was anybody's fight at that point. Ward blatantly fouled Kovalev and got way with it because of an incompetent referee. Tony Weeks was irresponsible in the fight. Ward is a cheat.

Weisfeld giving round 7 to Kov was generous, but other than that the scorecards look plenty defendable

I concur with Weisfeld through 7. Ward was going to be 10-8 in the 8th irregardless and was going to win as Kovalez was a beaten man. Weeks screwed the pooch for Ward, Kovalez and fans with the stoppage. I would have rather seen a clean victory even if it came at the end of the 8th unaided by Weeks.

I couldn't see the last 3 punches, so I can't say they were low or borderline. The ref blocked the view, I see Ward swinging away and Kov bent over. Kov said they were low, Ward said borderline, the Ref has the final say so.

No my friend, really, Meeks was in the way and all I could see was Kov hunched over and Ward delivered three uppercuts that was intended for the body.
