You are delusional...there was maybe one low punch..he got rocked with a punch..was wobbly could hardly stand on his legs..his eyes said it all when he was looking at the ref hoping he would save him..if I was in the same situation I would give props when props is due..why is he crying like a little b1tch..he's been crying since the first fight...i got no respect for people like him.Comment

Thank you I've been saying this all night.. it was belt line punches and Kov couldn't take them. Then at the end he was bent over and Ward was aiming for his bread box and clipped his nuts due too positioning. Also Ward was warned after the first one then the ref caught on that Kovalev was doubling over even when they were on the belt line. If he took a knee after the first shot he might have survived a little longer but you can't double over into the ropes, not defend and expect to not get the fight stopped he brought it on himself. The only true Low blow in that entire round was the last shot. Which was primarily caused by Kovalev being in a non boxing posture not defending himself and basically looking for a way out. But that's all Ward and the refs fault, right? Rewatching the round. Pay attention. The dude quit.Comment

Unabashedly biased commentary by Kellerman and Jones
Max Kellerman and Roy Jones Jr. Kcalled and embellished everything Ward did while rarely giving Kovalev credit for his successes. The vast majority of the punches that stopped Kovalev were blatantly low but they called them borderline. Jones even suggested that Kovalev's trunks were worn unusually high, which everyone could see, was not. What a shame, since both analysts are usually fair and objective.Comment

Like I say, fighters do make excuses. They are in a sense delusional, which is why they can do the job. He got rocked and he don't like body shots, but the last one wasn't legal. You should respect them all because they risk death at any moment for our entertainment. Tim Hague lost he's life last night. I'd never doubt a fighters courage, no matter how many rounds they last.

From my view...
Yes. Kovalev was tired. But 100% he was able to continue the fight. And I am sure Ward was tired too.
It is round 8, guys!
Do you remember klitchko vs Joshua? How many knockdowns were in the last round? Why did not the ref stop the fight in a same way as it was stopped this time?
Stoppage after low blow / body shot? Unbelievable.
At least 10 seconds count.
At maximum 5 minutes for recover.
But TKO... It is the baddest choice of referee.Comment

All the World is jealous and butthurt....even down messico way.
Every African American achievement is like a dagger through your greasy oil-pump of a heart.

Disappointment will be your closest friend as long as ya'll root against us.
