LMFAO the ref could CLEARLY see that low blow in plain sight!

He saw the low blow and thought, yeah that's enough and gave Ward the W instead of docking points like he should have.

He was in position to see all 3 low blows.

Kovalev being bent over like that is the issue, that is a submissive position that beckons the ref to stop the fight not account for low blows.

He had just been hit with 2 low blows before this.

This is the last of the 3. Of course he is bent over. He just got hit in the nuts 3 times.

A point off was probably the most appropriate line of action. At the very least give Sergey a breather rather than stopping it. Weeks must not have seen that the shot was low for him to make that call. I was surprised that I did not hear them interview Weeks after the fight (or if they did, I missed it).

Anyway, wouldn't have mattered. Kov was done well before the punch in that gif landed and would have been clean stopped if the fight continued.

That shot caught some of the belt, that is rarely called a low blow even though technically it is one. And with Kovalev bent over like that it was not going to be called.
