i didnt want to to write this type of thread. i said in the build up kovalev wouldnt get a fair shake. i wasnt going to get annoyed but **** me that was absolutely disgusting, genuinely never seen anything like it.
First of all the stoppage was so premature. its not as if he was taking big shots to the head.
We say about wards fouls and sound like a broken record, but ****ing hell he ended the fight by hitting him low 3 times.
They let him get away with other low blows throughout the fight.
No point in another rematch, theyll never let ward lose in america.

I honestly can't work out if you're trolling or ******ed. Did you not see the right hand that shook Kovalev to his boots, about 20-30 secs before the stoppage? That's what started the whole assault on Kova.

Give Ward his credit and move on. He's proven that he's a better fighter than Kovalev.

so one big shot with **** all else landed clean apart from low blows is a legit stoppage? really? and im the ******ed one?.... i thought malignaggi was going to explode, called it one of the worst stoppages hes ever seen.

I don't think anyone is saying Ward didn't have Kovalev hurt badly.

Most people's problem, including mine is that the fight was stopped on 3 very very blatant low blows Tony Weeks was in position to see them.

Ward probably would have finished him off the next round or two, but stopping it on very clear fouls when Kovalev bends over in pain after taking 3 shots to the nuts is not good for boxing.

Especially with the scoring controversy of the first fight.
