What other examples do you have to label him a bad ref. People are too quick to label folks off one instance. Before this fight I thought Weeks was a solid vet who let fighters fight.

You're a troll but I will deny that i'm hurt - I just don't like the ending - low blows and a useless early stoppage? Ward is a great boxer - kind of guy who has maximised his talent which is considerable.

That was a great stoppage. Kovalev was getting his ass whooped and not fighting back and was CLEARLY hurt. Samething with Demarco and John Molina. Same thing with Molina and Mickey Bey.

Samething with Pacquiao and Cotto. Samething with Mayweather vs ManFredy.

When you are getting that ass whooped, hurt and not fighting back the ref stops it. AND STILL!!!!!!!!!!

Bad analogy bro. If the stoppage was based on the last punch solely, then we have a big problem. If it's based on the entire sequence, the stoppage isn't as bad as made out to be.

Even if its based on the entire sequence, the sequence contains an obvious low blow which was the last blow thrown before Weeks stopped it. How does he miss that?

The irony being Kovalev wasn't even hurt by the head punches, he was winded from the repeated low blows.
A homer ref turned this fight into a joke stoppage.

That last shot Ward landed was low as hell and I think Kovalev thought the ref was stepping in stop the action, not stop the fight. Oh well....

For fighting at that level Kovalev is clearly out of condition after six rounds for the second time. Totally unacceptable. As far as calling award the best P4P I do not see it !!

I thought he F'd up twice last night. Didn't he want to DQ Rigondeaux when the other Ref. asked his advice??? Glad they changed that top a TKO. BOTH hit after the bell at the same time. Just 1 got caught and then flopped like a fish. Good acting job.
