Comments Thread For: Ward: Kovalev Don't Respect Me? I Never Asked For His Respect!

Andre Ward wants to put any doubt about who is the better boxer to bed by "making a statement" in his rematch with Sergey Kovalev on Saturday. Ward claimed the WBA (Undisputed), IBF and WBO light heavyweight titles from Kovalev in November in a closely contested bout that saw all three judges score it 114-113 to the Olympian.

Ward has said he respects Kovalev. Most fighters respect other fighters. I might go back and forth with a boxing fan online but these are my people and I respect and appreciate them all. I don't believe, Kovalev. He doesn't like Ward but I know he respects him and appreciates him.

If the Krusher fights angry, it will be an easy night for Ward. I sincerely hope it isn't, but perhaps Ward is the mentally stronger fighter here.

Ward is gonna get dropped again like a sack of potatoes in this fight too. Hopefully the judges make the correct call this fight (if kovalev doesnt get the KO)

To the idiot who keeps saying ward was dropped like a sack a potatos" doesn't know the meaning of the phrase. Yes ward was dropped but he didn't get laid out like your describing. Just because you get knocked down once in the fight doesn't automatically make you the winner. Ward out boxed Krusher from round 3 on. Ward out worked kov on the inside and outside and also out landed him every round except round 2. Learn what boxing is about before you decide who the winner should be. Educate yourself a little before making statement's like that sir.

Here we go again, Ward STILL want everyone to believe he won the first fight. But tonight Kovalev will show him whos realy the better man, Kovalev destroys him.
